Promotes well-being
Group singing reduces stress and increases positive affect across diverse populations.
Grape et al., 2002 — Integr. Physiol. Behav. Sci.What we're doing
Politeness. False preconceptions about needing training. Simply not knowing how to start. Musical Mycology dismantles those barriers by wrapping music-making in something enchanting and unintimidating: mushrooms.
The Three Arms
Why this matters
Group singing reduces stress and increases positive affect across diverse populations.
Grape et al., 2002 — Integr. Physiol. Behav. Sci.Shared music-making accelerates social bonding faster than other group activities of similar effort.
Kreutz, 2014 — Music Med.Synchronized musical activity raises pain threshold via endorphin release, more so than solo participation.
Dunbar et al., 2012 — Evolut. Psychol.Sustained group singing programs improve self-reported mental health and community connection.

* Personal observationWhere we are
We'll be testing core components at a major Renaissance Faire. A free pilot where we will collect data on attach rates and evaluate how the system performs in trying conditions.
Other Ren Faires in the wings can now go live. Work begins with the CMU ETC to build out the hardware and prepare for Demo Day.
Presenting to major industry players in the LBE space. Working to establish the pipeline for permanent installations starting in 2027.
